Energy Efficiency Regulation Changes Effective Jan. 1 2010 (Canada)

The Ministry of Natural Resources Canada (NRC) has decided to amend Canada's energy efficiency regulations to harmonize it with the new DOE efficiency levels for Medium Voltage transformers and make them also effective as of January 1, 2010. The regulations and existing efficiency levels for Low Voltage transformers are not affected by this change.
Starting from September 15, 2009 our responses to requests for quotations for Medium Voltage units likely to be produced and shipped after January 1, 2010 will be quoted as compliant with these revised and more stringent efficiency levels.
